PATHWAYS FOR A SOCIAL SCIENCES STUDENT
A bachelor's degree in social sciences can include majors such as anthropology, criminology, cultural sciences, economics, geography, history, sociology, psychology, political science, public administration, or urban/regional planning.
In the past, Ball State Students in the College of Social Sciences have chosen to pursue a Digital Media Minor to increase their understanding with connecting people to digital spaces.
For example, an Urban Planning honed their knowledge on usability testing for interactive environment walk-through simulations, considering users and stakeholders in visualizing how physical spaces can accommodate a variety of different people.

A Public History Major focused on User Experience Design, interested in applying skills within museum environments to drive engagement for both physical and digital spaces. With the increasing digital implementations in museum environments, learning to increase digital engagement is crucial for museums to maintain their numbers.
